Rushlight

This documentary short is about my grandfather. He explores old travel photo film that has been lost for 60 years. To shot this movie i used a mini-DV camera , i tried to convey the blur and heterogeneity of human memory. With the help of this fuzzy grainy miniDV tape image, I wanted to imitate the sight of an elderly person who sees the world with only one working eye. But the almost forgotten and maybe tragic past shines brighter for him than the present.
