Director Biography - Breanne Krause, Samuel Pratt-White

Breanne is a 2021 Masters graduate of the National Film and Television School with a degree in Directing and Producing Television Entertainment. In 2018, she graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with two bachelors, one in Film and Digital Media with a Production Concentration and one in Business Management Economics, earning honors in both fields and at the University level.

Between her undergrad and joining the NFTS, Breanne spent six months working in Florida as part of the Disney College Professional Internships Program. Breanne has traveled around the world studying at four different universities in three different countries. While she has currently returned home to Southern California, she hopes her work will continue to take her around the world. She has diverse set experience both in front of and behind the camera and is ready to tackle new stories with a unique and distinct perspective.

Director Statement

Ruffles is a satirical horror film for the BIFA Horror Short Competition. Filmed during the COVID pandemic, directors Sam and Breanne, developed a story that they were able to shoot with a minimal budget and in only one location - the result? Toy Story meets Chucky.
