Ruby's Dad

“Ruby’s Dad” tells the story of Stanley and his daughter Ruby who try to sneak their way into an upscale hotel in a desperate attempt to get the autograph of a baseball player Stanley’s own dad used to idealize. A first endeavor to get inside the hotel fails and Stanley and Ruby get kicked out of the establishment. While the two are able to make their way back inside the hotel through the kitchen, their efforts eventually come to an abrupt halt when Stanley puts Ruby inside a small dumbwaiter where she gets trapped. In the severity of the situation, Stanley comes to terms with himself and realizes what really matters.
