As a southerner, Rozalyn Mattocks was born to tell stories. Every Saturday as a child, her Mother took her to the movies, she was instantly hooked on a medium that told stories visually. She began making elaborate sets in her home and staging scenes for anyone who stopped by.
She moved to Atlanta right out of high school and pursued a film degree from Georgia State. She met Linda Burns with The Atlanta Film Festival and began a writing journey in which they developed a Television pilot.
The Walking Dead hired her in season four to stand in and photo double for Chandler Riggs who portrayed Carl Grimes. Over the seven years on the show, the education and advice she received from so many department heads and revolving directors, has shaped who she is as an artist.
Writing and directing her own films, while working on other indie projects, has helped her become an award winning filmmaker. With a passion for the craft and collaborative process, she has developed a unique style. She continues to push herself with every project, until her feet don't quite touch the ground.

She loves adventure, dancing, compassion, goofiness, darkness and purse sandwiches. She does not enjoy heights, cruelty, jump scares, or being tickled.
