Roxy is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has worked in film and TV production for over 15 years. Credits include: Captain America: Winter Soldier, The Other Guys, SNL and Marvel's The Punisher Seasons 1 & 2 and Luke Cage S2. She has worked the film festival circuit with both Sundance and Tribeca film festivals as a screener focusing on international feature films. Previously, Roxy directed the documentary Folk! She often works with 9.14 productions, most recently as the field producer on the HBO documentary, Believer and Hulu’s Batman and Bill. In 2014, Roxy was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Ukraine, where she researched and wrote Julia Blue, her narrative directing debut. She is an IFP Narrative Lab Directing Fellow 2016 and the recipient of the Calvin Klein 'Live the Dream' grant for emerging female directors 2016.
Julia Blue was a part of Rooftop Films Works in Progress Screenings and Seattle WIP Labs 2017 and was awarded a Women In Film Finishing Fund grant in early 2018. The film premiered in Roxy’s hometown at the Cleveland International Film Festival in the spring of 2018 and later at the Seattle International Film Festival, amongst others. The film recently won the Best Film award at the Anchorage International Film Festival and Roxy was the winner of a Special Jury Mention for Best Director World Cinema at the Woodstock Film Festival 2018. Julia Blue is having its UK Festival Premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival in February of 2019.
