Director Biography - Clare E Steffen

Round The Globe is a collaboration of music written and co-written with individuals from all over the world. The idea is to promote encouragement, hope, and global healing through music. The music of Round The Globe is dynamic and diverse. We explore subjects that are complex social issues and concerns that can be difficult to address, but through music, we can overcome obstacles and barriers. Our intention is to spread universal love through our music.

Since 2019, Round The Globe has distinguished itself as an organization of musicians and songwriters that are making a difference in the world. Their music is considered outstanding and has been recognized for the contribution it makes to improving our world through music.

Clare Steffen writes songs that offer encouragement and healing. Clare has blended her musical and lyrical writing skills to focus on creating songs that address issues of social justice, relationship concerns, and the human experience. Dr. Steffen is a published author and enjoys bringing a multi-media approach to healing through print, sound, and visual effort.

Director Statement

Clare Steffen is a Psychologist, University Professor, Published Author, Vocalist, and Musician. She spent ten years early on in her career working as a music therapist offering music as a means of healing for the elderly, disabled, and veterans. After thirty years of working as a psychologist, about a year ago she returned to writing music. She started the Round The Globe Project which has allowed her to write songs with individuals in over 30 countries around the world. To date, she has co-written over 30 albums through this project. These songs are Indie, Jazz, Folk, Folk Rock, Christmas, and World songs and each one invites the listener to hear the message in the music. Always interested in culture, her songs will bring a fusion of sound that represents the richness of countries from around the world. Clare also has a close partnership with an individual in Nashville, TN and they have co-written seven albums, that offer Country, Americana, Bluegrass, Celtic, Christmas, and Christian music.

Raul Barba Bio:
Raul is a professional pianist and musical arranger from Argentina. He has over twenty years of composition and songwriting experience. Raul has the gift of creating melodies, and musical and vocal arrangements in multiple genres, including Pop, Gospel, Rock, Opera, Jazz, R&B, Soul, and Blues. He has the unique ability to read a lyric and connect to it on a deep emotional level so that he is able to create a melody that frames the song in a perfect manner. His arrangements are exquisite, as is exemplified in the co-written song, Round The Globe.

Chibuzor Prevale:
Prevale is a Gospel Singer-Songwriter from Nigeria. His vocal stylings radiate warmth and emotion. He introduced the familiar call-response style into the song Saving Grace and now in Round The Globe, which gave it a unique African flavor and offered a global perspective when blended with Clare and Raul's classic vocals. He is able to deliver a song in a way that the listener feels his emotional struggle and strife, which creates an immediate connection. Prevale feels that music gives his life meaning. His goal is to reach out to millions in over a hundred countries through positive messages in song. He would like to help change the way people think and to overhaul their minds and bring them to a more positive place. He is inspired by his beliefs, life events, and strong emotions to write music that touches the hearts of many.
