Roberto Collado Anzaldúa, originally from Victoria, Tamaulipas, completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas Pan-American, years during which he made several short films, including "11 years of nightmares and a wasted lifetime", which was part of the official selection of the poor film festival in Havana, Cuba. This being the first of a series of awards granted internationally for the different short films in which he has participated, including best cinematographer in the city of Milan, Italy, official selection at Cannes 2015 and best film script.
Later he obtained the degree of Master in Media Arts Production at The City College of New York. And as a title project, I made the short film "Saturday morning" as a director, cinematographer, editor and screenwriter, a short film that was awarded different prizes such as Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, and Special Jury Prize at the CityVisions festival in Nueva York and the Special Prize of the Jury Film Festival of Mexico International Film Festival 2015.
In 2016 he released his first documentary feature film: "Alberto or the revolutionary metamorphosis of General Carrera Torres" filmed in the Tamaulipas plains of the fourth district. Which has the participation of renowned Mexican historians such as Dr. Pedro Salmerón and José Ángel Solorio from Tamaulipas. Alberto is awarded the Latin Awards, Marbella in Spain with the best script and direction. In addition to being part of the official selection of the FICG. In 2020 he worked together with Marco Bracho, a specialist in filming the documentary “Los parados” that is presented in the committee of the Nobel Peace Prize.
His latest project takes him back to the Valley of Texas: "Open Wound" Documentary that addresses the issue of Mexican immigrants in the United States.
He is currently in the development of a fiction feature film "Far away" that he hopes to see the production light soon.
