Gerone Viktoria "Rory" Esguerra is a graduate of the Animation program from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the Philippines. She had only ever considered art as a profession a few years ago, and has never looked back since. She loves history, architecture, watching documentaries, musicals, anime, animated works and danmei. She aspires to help expand the world of art and animation by reaching out to people through her work.

Her most recent achievement would be placing bronze for the Real Time Animation Award alongside her team, at the 2024 International Animation Challenge (IAC) hosted by Nanyang Polytechnic, at Singapore.

In terms of professional work for animation, she had previously worked as a layout artist, coloring assistant, and film poster artist for All The Time (2023), by directors Anya Zulueta and Dominic Zulueta, a SINE KABATAAN grantee.

She also worked as a student intern for Project EWA, an animated teaser for the 2024 Annecy Pitch of director Keith Sicat; where she was involved in developing the art direction of the teaser and also participated as a rotoscope animator.

Most recently, she worked on an animated sequence for Kinang (2024), a student thesis film written and directed by Shanlene Mae Hollero.
