Roof - A Moment In Time

The moment the film tries to capture happened during the road trip of three friends, Rebeka Németh, Ábel Kotormán and György Méhész during the summer of 2022.
The original footage was recorded a day before György Méhész wrote the poem 'Tető' in hungarian, which was also translated to english as 'Roof' for this film.
The picture appearing in the snapshots is Alfons Mucha's 'Poetry'.

Director Statement

My approach to this film was very simple. I wanted to relive a moment in time that happened to me in the past, in a different place, with people that are now far away.
The way I created it was experimental in every sense, because even though I had a clear feeling about things, everything just clicked as I was working through it.
I have done almost every bit of this film, including the poem, the translation, the music, the editing, some acting, recording to ensure that the final product would reflect my feelings the way I think back on that moment in time.
