Ronan Morrissey is a filmmaker from Chicago who focuses on telling stories that offer a unique perspective to the human experience, and that highlight the absurdity of everyday life. During his time as a film student at DePaul University, he made a variety of shorts ranging from Comedy, Documentary, Drama and Music Videos.
His most recent film, "Nothing At All'' was a music video and one of several professional collaborations with musician Roman Redd. It was screened at the Los Angeles Lift Off Global Film Festival in 2020. "The Box" was his first collegiate film to enter the festival circuit and won an Excellence in Student Filmmaking award from the Florida Comedy Film Festival. It was also nominated for "Best Ensemble Cast" at the DePaul Premiere Film Festival and became an Official Selection for the Alder International Short Film Festival.
“Masterpieces'' is a long awaited passion project that was in development for the past two years. This film is the first of many planned projects that focus around bringing awareness to building trades and the livelihoods of construction workers in the U.S. This is his first film from a string of projects that are all set to come out later in 2022.
Outside of his film work, he is also a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Chicago/Midwest Chapter's Junior Board. He serves on the Outreach and Executive Board committee's, which are tasked with creating new and innovative initiatives to help grow the chapter and foster the careers of young professionals in the broader media industry.
