Roman Filiev was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He grew up and lives permanently in Veria, Greece. His
love for cinema was evident from his early age. At first he directed artistic and music videos and then
he decided to make his dream come true and he created his own film. In 2017 he directed his first
short film called Happiness , which participated in various festivals in Greece and abroad, receiving
positive reviews.
In 2019 he directed his second short film TONI which deals with the uprooting through the eyes of
the immigrant himself and the journey to a better life.
