Rolling Sound
Annie's longtime boyfriend Benny has trouble coming to terms with a new work environment -- a low-budget adult film company run by self-proclaimed king of the camera, Rod Montana. After a feud between the rookie boom operator and director, along with fractures in her relationship, Annie finds herself stepping in front of the camera for the first time. After finding her spark in something she never saw for herself, she must navigate between holding her relationship together and branching into a new person. Writer and Director Alex Grant is proud to share this no-budget romantic portrait inspired by the early works of Sean Baker, the Duplass Brothers, and Paul Thomas Anderson.

Alex Grant is a writer and director, who also produces, edits, and composes for films based in the City of Brotherly Love. After working for an Emmy-winning documentary studio in college, Alex chose to set a goal for himself; write and direct his debut feature before graduation. He is happy to share this project, Rolling Sound, with the world. In addition to his own filmmaking, Alex currently runs his own production company and works in post-production for the National Football League as an archival film scanner and archivist. His goal is to grow his production company into a true ethics-based media giant, while continuing to write and direct his own films.
The only statement I'm able to make is a thank you to all that have contributed to letting me begin to live my dream of making movies.
