David Nemeth is a writer/director who has created seven professional short films and a feature film. He began his filming career in 2011 by producing a handful of online-release short films and in 2016, he produced his first professional short film. Since then, he has challenged himself at every turn, striving to make bigger and better films. Focused on telling stories of hope and inspiration amid the realities of humanity, he has won several awards from around the United States for his work. Having lived in several states across the nation, he has a unique perspective on the human condition from all walks of life. He resides in Alabama with his wife and children.
Role Model began as a pilot script for a television series and eventually morphed into a brief short film. It was one of the most intimate and rewarding short films I’ve ever worked on, and translating those ideas to a feature-length film where they could get fleshed out even more and become accessible to so many people is something I very much desired to see. The short film touched so many people with its resonating and relatable theme and has been our most successful short film to date. I love being able to explore the characters of this film on a deeper level and give our audience a powerful story.
