Rohingyas at Peninsular

Rohimullah, a Rohingya refugee, resides in Malaysia after fleeing the violence in Myanmar. His life is marked by constant movement in search of safety and livelihood opportunities. Rohimullah shared his horrifying experiences, including the attack on his village, the loss of his father, and his journey to Malaysia, marred by human trafficking and immense hardship. Unfortunately, Malaysia's lack of ratification of refugee conventions and discrimination against Rohingya refugees deny them basic rights and humanitarian aid.

The documentary follows the production team visit Rohimullah's current living place in Bagan Serai, Perak, documenting Rohimullah's daily life, capturing his struggles, resilience, and moments of joy amidst adversity. The documentary concludes by posing a pivotal question to Rohimullah, exploring his perspective on freedom and his unwavering determination to overcome his circumstances.
