Robots' Design Academy

At Earth where humans are almost extinct, intelligent robots left by humans are imitating their creators by designing in a “correct” way. They think that the designs made by humans are the most perfect ones, so the only way to design is to replicate designs left by humans.
The story took place at the “Robots’ Design Academy”, which is established by the robots. The protagonist robot “R” is a student who has a little bit of his own ideas and is fascinated by the sky. However, the robot professor “P” completely disregards R’s thoughts. One day, Professor P announced the subject “Human Spirit” for the final exhibition. Professor P regards the Moai statues on Easter Island as the only subject qualified to represent Human Spirit. As a result Professor P demands all his students to replicate this design crafted by ancient humans, or they will not be able to graduate.
When R is troubled by the final exhibition subject, the sudden arrival of a human girl “Xin” made R rethink the essence of design. With the encouragement of Xin, R determined to express his fascination with sky, and cooperated with Xin to build a glider from scratch. At the day of final exhibition, the two performed a successful maiden voyage of the self-made glider “Human Spirit”, and flew to the exhibition square.
Professor P was furious at the heterodox work, and threw a metal plate with a grade “F” at R’s feet. R was frustrated as he saw Xin picked up the plate and started writing. After seeing what Xin had wrote, R finally smiled again.
Meanwhile, students and professors at the square started to roar, and excitedly crowded around the glider to observe its novel design. R and Xin looked at P and showed him the plate happily - the F letter of Fail became Fantastic, and the two finally could “graduate” from the Design Academy.
