THAT HAPPENED.” Is Robin Lane’s first feature film. For 48 years, Lane has been the Artistic Director of Do Jump, a performance ensemble based in Portland Oregon. Her live performances combine dance, theater, circus, film, illusion and live original music. She has created 19 full length works, countless civic and corporate one of a kind events and has toured extensively across North America, Lane has created a theater space in her beloved Portland and founded a school to teach her unique style.

During Covid lockdown Lane began using the language of music and physical theater to create remotely produced vignettes with the Do Jump ensemble members. These works captured the exact moment we were living through together/apart. She combined these real time experiments with interviews and a taste of nearly 50 year of archival film and video of the companies work. All this has been woven together to tell a story about performing artist during a time when no one could gather, a story about community, creativity and resilience.
