Robert Gardner, Jr.: A Legacy of Labor, Loyalty and Lumber
Robert Gardner, Jr was a Mormon pioneer who arrived in Salt Lake Valley in September of 1847. He built the first saw mill in Utah and the second grist mill. The house he built on mill creek of adobe was the first in Utah and still stands today as the oldest structure in Utah still in it's original location. The home as been fully restored and renovated and is a museum to his life. This bio gives a brief summary of his life and challenges his descendants to live a purposeful life
