Director Statement

It was so much easier to make movies as a kid. There was a fearlessness to pointing, shooting and never worrying about the outcome.

Then for some reason, you become more afraid as an adult. More protective of what you choose to share. At least that has been my experience.

It wasn't until I was introduced to John Cassavetes that my whole world turned upside down. He gave me permission to be a kid again. To save up for a camera, to learn a complex editing software, and to just say, "fuck it" and make meaningful art.

Roach is a film about loneliness. It is my first film, and I am very excited to share it with you.
