Director Statement

Directing a feature film was the next big step in my filmmaking journey, so I wrote Rival: a fun, campy, popcorn movie designed to be enjoyed with an audience. It’s not about hidden messages or deeper meanings; it’s simply a love letter to the slasher films of the ’80s and ’90s that inspired me. My goal was to capture the excitement and thrill of those classics, giving audiences the same fun, wild ride that made me fall in love with filmmaking!
