RISE ABOVE © Whitey Somers
WE MUST SHOW SOME LOVE
OH WE MUST RISE ABOVE
IF WE EVER WANT TO FIND
SOME PEACE OF MIND
WE MUST SHOW SOME FAITH
OH LEST WE FALL FROM GRACE
IF WE’RE EVER GOIN TO MOVE ON
AND LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND
I’VE SEEN THE WAYS THAT WE BEHAVE
I’VE COME TO KNOW IT’S SAD BUT TRUE
AND ALL THESE THINGS HAVE GOT ME WONDERING
HOW ARE WE EVER GOING TO START A NEW WORLD
WE MUST SHOW SOME GRACE
OH LET THE PAIN ERASE
ARE WE EVER GOING TO
MOVE ON WITH OUR LIVES
WE MUST SHOW SOME HEART
OR WE WILL DRIFT APART
ARE WE EVER GOING TO RISE ABOVE
THIS STATE OF MIND
I’VE SEEN THE WAYS THAT WE BEHAVE
I CAN’T BELIEVE THE THINGS WE DO
AND ALL THESE GAMES ARE MYSTIFYING
HOW ARE WE EVER GOING TO START A NEW WORLD
