Not only in dictatorships but also in numerous countries of the western world the police is meanwhile equipped and trained like military forces - obviously to crack down on and control uprisings and riots. This development brings the risks of civil wars. But not onl this, meanwhile heavily armed police forces they are also sent to normal demonstrations. An evolution that is a threat for a democratic society.

Director Biography - Daniel Burkholz

Daniel Burkholz is an award winning filmmaker. He first worked as journalist for newspaper and radio, as editor of a scientific magazine and also as photographer. Later, he worked in the fields of environment protection, education, human and civil rights. After an intermezzo as divemaster, he studied the culture of the Sinai nomads, the nomads of the Great Thar desert, and the Aborigine's culture in Queensland. He has already been travelling for more than 25 years and in 2005, he founded his company Roadside Dokumentarfilm.
