Rikers Island

A criminalized survivor of Domestic Violence is incarcerated in the notorious Rikers Island, awaiting trial on a botched escape attempt from her abusive husband. She struggles to keep her nose clean and stay in the good graces of the Judge, in order to win her freedom. A little while into her imprisonment, the world is hit by a pandemic. A deadly virus threatens the safety of everyone in the jail. There is no escape.
