Otto Pacheco Lautert is a brazilian film student and composer, born in São Paulo. During his college trajectory, he has contributed to a series of works mainly acting as a Cinematographer(Neon God, Dir. Tom Kenji, 2024), Editor(Under That Tree, Dir. Emanuel Schulman, 2023 / Neon God, Dir. Tom Kenji, 2024) and Composer(Under That Tree, Dir. Emanuel Schulman, 2023 / Over & Out, Dir. Milena Decourt). Currently, Otto releases his first film as a director, named “Right Below the Everest”.
The film was made as a hint for the contradictions surrounding the lives of upper middle class brazilians, but the intent was always to film the cats as the main characters, seeing how they go about their day, how they connect with each other and how the humans interject in their lives as “Tom & Jerry“ esque characters, less humane than the cats themselves, weirdly.
