An outlet for off-kilter films. Films that are unusual, independent and artful... shared in a collaborative community to encourage and support creation. ROFF will be happening at 2-3 venues in Ridgewood, Queens.

Rules & Terms

Films must be submitted in English (or subtitled in English).

Live Action shorts, animated shorts, and short docs must not exceed 20 minutes.

Music Videos and auto-biographical shorts must not exceed 5 minutes.

Feature films must be at least 60 minutes.

By submitting to us, you give us consent and right to screen your film in front of a live audience, and, under special circumstances, online screening.

    The BEST people hosting a great selection of independent film. So many filmmakers in attendance, and they made it easy for everyone to meet up before and after each screening. The venue is fantastic. Highly recommended.

    I wish every film festival could be this warm and lovely! I felt like I made a genuine connection with everyone I talked to there. The vibes were supportive and communal. The programming was excellent and I loved the video art gallery. 10/10 would recommend!

    Warm and straight-forward communication between the festival personel and filmmaker(s). As a filmmaker of fringe and "off-kilter" animation one feels that ones contribution is appreciated. Hope to visit the festival in person in the future.
