RIDE SNAP WIN! CONTEST CYCLE DURHAM
1. OVERVIEW
Introducing “Ride-Snap-Win! The Cycle Durham video contest! From July 4 to 29, submit a 30- to
60- second video clip explaining why you enjoy cycling in Durham. You will be automatically entered for a chance to win a GoPro camera prize pack.

2. ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to participants and spectators who live in Durham Region during the period of July 4 to 29, 2016. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Contest entrants must be at least 14 years of age to participate. Employees of the Region of Durham and Quebec residents are excluded.

3. HOW TO ENTER
a) NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. From July 4 to 29, 2016, take a short video clip (approximately 30 seconds) of you telling us what you enjoy most about cycling in Durham Region and submit it online. Your video submission will enter you for a chance to win a Go Pro camera prize pack. There are no entry limits.
b) Judging will be based on video content related to cycling and composition. Final selection of the winning videos is the judges’ discretion. The entries will be judged by a committee selected by Cycle Durham. All decisions of the judges are final.
c) The Region of Durham reserves the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate by the Region of Durham.
d) The contest period runs from July 4 to 29, 2016 at midnight.
e) If entry to this contest is by means of a third party service or site (a “Third Party Service”), such as FilmFreeway, entrants must have an account with the applicable Third Party Service. By creating an account with the Third Party Service, the entrant agrees to comply with the Third Party Service’s Terms of Service. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by any Third Party Service. Twitter and Facebook entrants, where applicable, acknowledge that the contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with FilmFreeway and that any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to the Region of Durham and not to FilmFreeway. By entering this contest by means of a Third Party Service, where applicable, you completely release any such Third Party Service of all liability in relation to your participation in the contest.

4. PRIZE
A grand prize of a Go Pro camera prize pack will be awarded at the end of the contest. Judges will determine distribution for prizing randomly. Value of prizes varies. No equivalent cash prizes will be awarded.

5. WINNING NOTIFICATION
A single prize will be awarded by notification to winner’s email address. By August 15, the grand prize winner will be notified via email. Winners must contact the Regional Municipality of Durham within 10 days to discuss details of redemption and delivery.

6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY/ PRIVACY & CONSENT TO PUBLICITY
a) By accepting a contest prize, the winner: confirms compliance with these contest rules; acknowledges that the prize is non- transferable (except as provided for herein and solely at the REGION’S absolute discretion) and must be accepted as awarded or otherwise except where stated; and releases the Region of Durham, and all of its directors, officers, employees and agents, from and against all liability in connection with the contest and/or the awarding and/or use of any contest prize.
b) By entering the contest and for the sole purpose of the Region’s administration of the contest, you consent to the collection of your personal information by the Region in accordance with the Region’s privacy policy. www.durhamtourism.ca/privacy.aspx
c) By entering the contest you agree for any purpose and at any time in the future, without any fee or other form of compensation, to have your entry:
• displayed at any Region of Durham location
• used in the Region’s print and electronic communications materials
• used in the Region’s advertising and promotional materials; and/or
• be uploaded on the Region of Durham websites.

7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
By participating in the contest, you agree to hold harmless the Region of Durham and its employees, agents and representatives from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest, or attempted participation in the contest and any contest prize, including, without limitation the administration of the contest, the selection and confirmation of any contest winners, the arranging, awarding and use of any contest prize, and infringement of another person's intellectual property rights. You also release the Region of Durham and its employees, agents and representatives from any responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind you may incur or suffer arising in whole or in part from your participation in this contest.

8. GENERAL
This Contest will be run in accordance with these contest rules, which shall be subject to amendment by the Region without notice. Entrants must comply with these contest rules and will be deemed to have received and understood these rules by participating in this contest. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

a) Cancel and Amend
The Region reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend this contest or to amend the contest rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever. Without limiting the foregoing, if for any reason the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, for example as a result of tampering or infection by computer virus, bug, corruption, security breach, or other cause beyond the contest sponsors’ reasonable control, the Region of Durham reserves the right to cancel or suspend the contest and/or conduct a random draw from all previously received eligible entries.

b) Conduct
The Region of Durham reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to disqualify without notice any entrant that they find to be: violating the contest rules; tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or any contest website; acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws. Should any such attempt be made, the Region reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution, and to ban or disqualify an entrant from this contest and any future contests.

c) Invalid Entry
The Region of Durham is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that affect the contest or your participation in it. Furthermore, the Region is not responsible for: lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete or late entries any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries.

d) The Region of Durham is entitled to interpret these rules as required and its decision is final. The Region of Durham reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that it has reason to believe does not comply with the contest rules. If, after the awarding of the contest's prizes, a contest winner is disqualified or determined to be ineligible, an alternate winner will be selected using the same judging process/criteria described above. Alternative winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these rules.

The Region of Durham does not condone any unsafe act, whether it is using handheld devices while operating a vehicle or cycle, or undertaking any other unsafe actions while creating an entry video.
