Nature. Starting over
Srebrenica. It's hard to talk about it, avoiding to think about tragedy of 1995. The consequences of those facts stamped on the life and human activity of the Bosnian town of Srebrenica are multiple, and now, they still profoundly influence the overall life of survivors, and the perception of those who visited the town.
Because every year thousand visitors coming from all over the world, go to Srebrenica, mostly interested in “dark tourism”.
What if those visitors would start to be interested in amazing natural surroundings?
What if the flourishing Nature would start to be the key point to give back something to a community that has lost so much?
Even though he spent most of his life in Italy, Irvin Mujčić decided to return after more than 20 years to Srebrenica, for joining the project “Srebrenica City of Hope”, whose goal is to offer another viewpoint on the city, to rediscover the beauty of this enchanted land , its untouched nature, but also to support (economically/emotionally/culturally) those who had the courage and strength to return living in this place.
This 8 minute Documentary gives voice to Irvin's ideas and view of some of the beauty of Srebrenica's surroundings.
Hoping for a new beginning.
