Even before his first gig as a musician for “Dungeons & Dragons: Improv Edition” in the 2011 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, Rico has always had a passion for storytelling. After working as musician, composer, board member and writer for various production companies such as “No Snowcones”, “Tales From The Improv Zone”, and “Sorry, Not Sorry”, Rico eventually founded his own company, “Campfire Tales Productions.”
With Campfire Tales, Rico debuted his first original production, “Feather Fall”, for the 2016 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival. “Feather Fall” was written, directed, and produced by Rico and went on to earn 5 star reviews from critics and ticket holders.
In 2019, Rico was awarded the Kevin Smith Film Production Scholarship to attend The Vancouver Film School to continue his passion to tell stories.
