Director Statement

It's always been important to me to make films with a strong narrative drive that make a difference in the world. So when I heard a story about my friend's daughter Lily taking her lunch to school, I felt compelled to write a film that gave her hope to keep pushing along. Making this film with support of the BFI and mentorship from Michaela Coel has been an opportunity I'll never forget. Now all I want to do is share our little film with the world to celebrate difference and do it creatively. Working in animation has been a true learning curve, but it's been an incredible joy to learn more about this medium under the watchful eye of our dear animation director Esther Cheung.
