Revisiting home
Face-to-face family reunions have been suspended since 2018. Of the 130,000 people who applied for the reunion, 90,000 have already passed away. More than 80% of the 42,000 survivors are elderly, with an average of 300 to 400 deaths per month.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Armistice Agreement in Korea and the 40th anniversary of the special live broadcast of KBS 'Finding Dispersed Families'. We covered the painful history and special homecoming of the first generation of separated families that were forgotten and disappearing.

This documentary tells the painful history of those who met their families through KBS special live broadcasts and inter-Korean family reunions, and displaced people who have waited 73 years without knowing the fate of their separated families.
Through digital technology, the documentary revive fond memories of the hometown and family into virtual reality, and goes on a special way home together.
