Experiencing Interruptions?

Reverie is a 5 minute art film depicting the miserable life of teenager Andi, who is struggling at home with the constant fighting between her parents. When Andi meets a dog, she begins to see the world differently but what she sees isn’t exactly all real. The film depicts maladaptive daydreaming which is a mental health condition where a person regularly experiences daydreams that are intense and highly distracting.

Director Statement

This is a film I made in year 12, and having won numerous awards including Best editing. I decided that I wanted to take the film further and gather a wider audience. I believe this film, at its core has a very important message. Life isn’t always easy and at times we need to do things just to cope which is okay and should be more widely supported.
