Director Statement

I received a notification that the Valentine's Day gift I ordered for my partner arrived at my door. I brought the box inside and opened it. What I had purchased was not inside. Instead, I held up two used shin guards. Stained. Smelling foul. I will never forget what it felt like to hold them… and drop them to the floor. It still sounds irrational, but bringing this package into my home made me feel I had violated my personal space. I tried to find who did this… WHY someone would have done this. The mystery ate at me. This fixation was my way into telling RETURN TO SENDER, a paranoiac short story about a desire for control over our lives.
