Since it was first mapped during the early days of the Conquest, Bermeja Island has always belonged to Mexico. Its recent and mysterious disappearance, linked to the discovery by the USA of important oil deposits in the area, has unleashed all kinds of theories about it. In 2018, five centuries after the arrival of the Spanish to the “new” continent, a Navarrese artist undertakes an epic quest with the intention of finding the elusive islet. However, what he would never have imagined is that his journey would be threatened by endless obstacles.
