Returning to Fort Scratchley
The 19th century Fort Scratchley once protected the city of Newcastle from a Japanese attack during World War Two. A deep sense of community was created amongst the men who served there until its closure in the 1970s, which led to decades of neglect. Now, veterans have returned to restore and protect this special place and share their stories before they are lost.
