This film showed John’s struggle of avoiding the war image in his mind and how a war affected his family. The jet had different meaning to both his childhood and adulthood. In his childhood, it stood for his dreams and expectation to the future. Ironically, it turned into a weapon and brought him to the war eventually. We tired to cross cut the story line and bring John back and forth between now and then. A reddish light pulled him back to the cruel reality. A burned family picture laid silently inside the wreckage of the jet, just like a wordless accusation to this merciless war.
