Retribution
In a symbolic tale, transcending millennia, capturing the essence of human emotions and motivations. The story unfolds in a faraway land in the present era, where the ominous caw of a bad omen signals a reckoning.
The unnamed protagonist is shown burdened by the weight of past injustices and embarks on a quest for retribution. Methodically, those who’ve wronged the protagonist are confronted, leaving a weapon behind as an act of letting go.
The narrative culminates with the protagonist standing by the sea, gazing at new horizons. With a serene smile, reflecting on the satisfaction of settling scores. As the tides roll in, the memories are washed away, bringing closure to a chapter of vengeance, and signaling a profound resolution in the ebb and flow of time.

Creating is my ultimate goal whatever the medium may be. Storytelling is my passion throughout any work I put out. My career started by making artwork and then proceeded to architecture school and earned 5 international awards for my graduation project in 2022/2023. My love for filmmaking only intensified as I have accumulated the knowledge from different mediums that I had to create my own experiments.
Albeit being 3 minutes long with a very low budget, “Retribution” went through different stages and edits. One of which was the scrapping of the original idea and thinking this whole film was doomed due to different circumstances in the filming place. Nonetheless, my team that consists of myself and my best friend, decided to brainstorm and modify the idea to fit the original idea and topped it off with the revenge concept that became the quintessence of this short film.
The experience working on this film will help me with future projects because I got to experiment with one of my favorite filmmaking techniques and its the usage of longshots as it was thrilling to coordinate the movement of the subject with the color shifting, audio and mood setting of the entire plot scene.
