Becca Willow Moss is an advocate for using artistic outlets to express the emotional landscape of the body. As a queer filmmaker, director, actor, singer, photographer, writer, and multimedia artist, she employs all art forms to communicate with others. She is a classically trained soprano, has her MA from the University of Toronto, and her recent films have brought her to festivals, such as TIFF, VIFF and Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema. Becca Willow yearns to empower others by inclusive artistic output, outreach, hyper-stylized aesthetics and creating community-based films.
Who can afford to Rest Assured? This is a short film that I directed with a humble team for a production entirely self-funded. It seeks to exist as a visual tool which underscores the nuances of terminal illness and assisted suicide. My work is hyper-stylized and the visuals accompany a heavy-handed score.
In a multi-genre world of absurdist theatricality, the characters sing and speak in rhyme. When resting - eternally or situationally - the plight of a child reigns immortal.
