Bongani Morgan is an aspiring film director and screenwriter, with a BA in Motion Picture Medium majoring in the discipline of screenwriting and film directing.
He has written over twenty novels, short stories, essays and has directed over seven short films, music videos, plays and worked as an Assistant Director on major South African film projects.
Bongani's said to be a story teller from a very young age where he created a story of Benjamin & Godzilla when he was just five years old.
He's currently a freelance filmmaker and a Promo Director for a major post-production agency in Johannesburg, South Africa called Birthmark.
He aspires to be a full-time feature film writer and director.
" My stories appear to have a recurring theme that focuses on a distinctly youthful South African point of view. The characters in my films always act from a point of loss of innocence, inner turmoil and are always caught in between two worlds and trying to understand how to fit in either world by avoiding those issues aforementioned. And this is perhaps informed by struggle with loss and fitting in every dynamic of two worlds and making sense of it all and being very observant." - Bongani Morgan
