Dr Livingston is an up-and-coming Native American film and television producer, writer, and director. Former professor turned award-winning filmmaker, Alexandra Livingston is new to the filmmaking industry. He co-founded the Sa'Ke Film Group with business and creative partner, Jacob Sbragia, which houses their three production companies, Shediculous Productions, Mãnana Productions, and Focused Intensity Productions. These production companies work with comedy, horror, science fiction, fantasy, drama, and all other genres. As a result of their efforts to create a more cooperative and supportive filmmaking community in Honolulu, Alexandra founded the Sa'Ke Film Collective to provide support and resources (crew, equipment, production,. distribution) for local filmmakers. He co-created the sketch comedy TV series The Sweet Spot with Candi Shell, which highlights local LGBTQ+ talent, activism, and advocacy and airs locally on Olelo Community Media.
This project is a collaboration with a dear friend, Adam Nilson. He served in the armed forces in Afghanistan and has dealt with myriad physical, psychological, and emotional issues since returning home. Through this pain, he discovered photography which led to the creation of this short film. Adam and I co-wrote Residue as a tribute to the many service members who are lost even after they return home.
