Director Statement

'Rendezvous' is my attempt at bringing light to the complicated journey of sexual discovery I navigated in high school. Most of my senior year was spent searching for honesty within myself, yearning for a then-undiscovered sense of intimacy, and connecting with strangers online. Concurrently, my conservative parents had big dreams for me, as they encouraged my potential bid to play football collegiately. As life would have it, I had other plans. 'Rendezvous' is a coming-of-age story that, for me, examines what happens when innocence is lost and childhood ends-- all within the span of an afternoon.
