Experiencing Interruptions?

Rendez-Vous

Two separated souls, longing to reunite - will their reunion lead to a fatal attraction? Is it true that such a strong love transcends, tearing the fabric of space and time, distorting and dissolving the laws of physics in the process?

Rendez-Vous was filmed in one take through the streets of Montreal, Canada using two cameras mounted on a Kawasaki Ninja. In post-production, the artists developed state-of-the-art AI workflows for stabilization, upscaling, and frame-rate interpolation, creating a unique fulldome experience. Claude Lelouch's 1976 short-film "C'était un rendez-vous" was a strong inspiration for bringing this cinematic style into the immersive medium!

Famelik is a sound artist, DJ and producer currently based in Montréal. He is one of the co-founders of the label Unlog , which is home for artists such as Engone Endong, Téhu, BSLC, Vince Konigan and Agata Jasper. Some of his recent relesed music projects can be found on the french label Blackelk Recordings.

With a visual and experiential approach to music, influences and esthetique deeply rooted in turntablism, abstract hip hop and electroacoustic music, his sound is haunted by sci-fi elements and concrete sound textures. Along the years, he has worked on various artistic collaborations in sound, visual production, and live performance for A/V projects, films, full-dome projects, interactive installations and immersive environments.

He's also been active for years as a DJ, where he finds a way to connect dots among the wide spectrum of influences that fueled his passion for music, from psychedelic folk, 80's lost records, synth soundtracks and japanese electronica to deep drum and bass and neurofunk, with an inclination towards the wide range of broken-beat hip hop material that lies in between.
