César Henrique Zamudio de Souza (Sao Paulo, 1991) is a Bachelor of Communication Science from the University of Lima [2013-2018], certificate of the Diploma of the Practical Documentary Film Workshop of Creation of the EICTV [2017] and of the Workshop of Dramaturgy by César de María organized by the Sala de Parto Theater Festival [2018]. In 2015, he began the development of a documentary project with the indigenous Kukama-kukamiria ethnic group of Santo Tomás, in Loreto, on the revitalization of the native language that is in danger of extinction. Currently, he made the short film "Re-Existence Kukama" (2018) selected and certified by Ibercultura Viva 2019 as Culture Point. He assumed the coordination of the Circle of Cinematographic Studies of the University of Lima in 2015 and participated in the 48-hour Project contest. He debuted as Asist. of Production and 2016, as Asist. of Camera of the photographic director Pablo Polanco who wins the prize for Best Photo. In 2017, he traveled to the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños de Cuba to receive a 3-week diploma that resulted in the short documentary “Portrait: A Tribute to the Almond Tree”. Upon his return, he established the dynamics of making short films at the Circle of Cinematographic Studies of the University of Lima, which has 15 short films produced. Before the end of the year, he produces the documentary short film called “Bravas” by Brenda Díaz about a Muay Thai school in Alto Peru, Chorrillos. In 2017, he was the Director of Actors in the P48hrs contest in which they won the Best Actress award with the short film “How to whistle inside a machine”. In 2018, he wrote and directed the short film "Reminiscence" with a budget of USD 5,000.00 and a crew of approx. 25 collaborators He won the Best Screenplay, Best Photo Direction, Best Edition, Best Art Direction and the Critics Award in the 2018-2 Film Workshop competition, organized by the same University of Lima. It was a selected work at the 2019 International Human Rights Festival of Argentina, OUTFEST PERU 2019 Film Festival, Medellin International Film Festival and the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Cuba.
