This is my first short film that I have submitted for a film festival. Its production is a culmination of all of the skills that I have learned over the past several years on filmmaking.
My inspiration for this short film was based on the German Expressionist movement; shadows, exaggerated acting and dark subject matter being the primary focus. As I knew that I wanted this short film to be in Black & White, I did not intend for it to be a Silent Film. There were technical issues with the audio, however once I had it muted, everything fell into place. The main theme that I wanted to explore was the psychological effects that the repetition of standardize testing has on a student.
I am proud of the work that I had put into this creation and I am thankful towards my friend who had acted his best in this short film. Enjoy.
