Relationship Killers
“Relationship Killers” is a dark, character driven, romantic suspense thriller about two women with a dark secret. They are nearing the end of their second year of marriage, and though they still love each other, the excitement of being newlyweds is starting to wear off. Now they are stuck with the knowledge of each other’s hot button locations and areas of sensitivities while growing increasingly fed up with each other’s idiosyncrasies.
When we first meet them, they seem to be your normal every day married couple. Bedegraine is a Native-American, she is prim and proper woman who values timeliness, organization, and tidiness. Bravien is Black-British, a woman who would prefer to not be bothered by others nor bothers others and is probably not wearing leggings and a tank top because her wife asked her not to. Bravien chides Bedegraine for making them come in an hour early to the appointment and a scuffle ensues.
Once in the therapy session they quickly discover that their therapist is a know-it-all, who literally knows it all, and he knows that. Doctor Dee Dewayne is the most charming and longwinded narcissist you’ve ever met and the world’s foremost expert on psychoanalysis. The couple begin to divulge their issues with one another in a speedy tense shouting match which Doctor Dee stops with and begins to break down his diagnosis of their relationship problem. He defines for them what the mental health term, “Relationship Killers”, which are unspoken traits and behaviors that partners exhibit which their partners subconsciously identify as worth ending the relationship over.
The couple get into several more quarrels with one another that Doctor Dee shuts down again and again in increasingly demeaning manners. As the couple grow more and more aggravated with Doctor Dee, and each other they begin to subtly drop hints that they are serial killing assassins with varying degrees of
psychosis.
The couple asks Doctor Dee if he would ever tell anyone their secret and he replies that HIPPA would protect so long as he did not suspect they would har themselves or someone else.
The film ends with the couple in a much better place romantically whilst burying the body of Doctor Dee.

Filmmakers are constantly making short films as a "PROOF OF CONCEPT" for a feature or tv show idea they have. For me "Relationship Killers" is more of a proof of character.
In our film I introduce two characters that exist in a Multi-Metaverse called, "LETHAL LADIES" (more to come on that later). I wanted to introduce these two without having to explain "THE WORLD" or what the rules of "The Multi-MetaVerse" are. I wanted them grounded in allegorical backstory, and what better way to introduce them to the world IRL than by creating a little origin story of sorts that just barely dips our toes into the power behind these fierce, flawed, and formidable characters.
Also Mental Health and Mental Illness works its way into most of my work and for Relationship Killers, what's a better way to dive deep into the psyche of two guarded lovers than by making them share in their first session of marriage counseling?
All in all I want you to forget everything above and enjoy our film. I say forget everything because in the film, nothing is as it seems, apart from the one thing I don't want you to see, which is everything... to whom these lovely lethal ladies are.
Much Love-
Noah
