Director Statement

Nowadays representation is something that, more and more, we all are seeing the value in. As a black woman who often intrigued by genres void of representation, I decided to make a film that centered on a character that is often invisible in the western genre, a black woman. The lack of black female presence in westerns was intriguing to me and instantly motivated me to write this film and write in a way that can be enjoyed by women as we celebrate the courageous journey of women thriving and surviving in the old west.
