Cylindian Goodchild is a young Jamaican Filmmaker who seeks to explore her curiosity and interests through the art of Visual Storytelling. She has written and directed over 5 short films, the first of which was made during her third month at university after she was selected to be apart of the EU in Jamaica Film Competition. She is the holder of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production. She also acquired additional training in a Production Assistant Workshop and done a few Film/TV internships.
Cylindian continues to study Filmmaking on her own to get a better understanding of the craft so she can tell stories better and become a better filmmaker with each film. She looks forward to making many more short films and patiently awaits her feature debut.
Cylindian is greatly inspired by the works of Kathryn Bigelow, Jordan Peele, Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan and aspires to become a world renowned Film Director/Producer, Actress and Cinematographer.
Reflection was made as a class assignment for my Directing course. The assignment was to make a Black and White silent film. I decided to try out an idea that I'd been nursing for a little while - telling a story primarily through the reflections of the main character of different surfaces as she reflects on her life. The film is basically a pun.
