Young filmmaker based in Toronto (Canada) who started studying film theory in Uruguay (mostly European and classical Hollywood cinema). Adrian continued studying film and communication in Toronto, under the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program, and then transferred to Windsor, at the border with Detroit (USA). He graduated from the film program at the University of Windsor in 2022, where he started making short films in a more professional way.
I loved making silly videos and spending days editing them as a kid. I was so shy that I decided to take the most challenging path, so I could change myself. I started studying arts, music, theatre, and ultimately studying film in university. Everything looked extremely difficult and incredibly expensive, but my persistence in searching for opportunities led me to study at three different schools in two different countries. In Toronto, I discovered the beauty of the relationship between films and cities, and then my obsession with Neo-Noir started.
Reel One talks about me, but it is also a homage to one of the greatest Neo-Noir films of all time: Taxi Driver.
