The Reel Erotic Art Film Festival aims to celebrate the erotic arts by showcasing short and feature films that are sexual in nature stemming from around the world.

We are looking to showcase films that contain graphic descriptions of sexual activity and nudity but also has a set genre, a meaningful storyline and artistic value.

We are an Official Event on IMDb! This means that filmmakers who are nominated and/or wins an award are eligible to list their incredible accomplishment on their IMDb page.

We are also accepting submissions for our erotic screenplay competition.

BONUS CATEGORY: 15-Second Story. Turn us on in 15 seconds! All submissions in this category are guaranteed to be screened!

**PLEASE NOTE: Submission fees are non-refundable**

The festival will be held on December 6, 2017 at The Cotton Club in St. John's, Newfoundland - Atlantic Canada's Premiere Gentleman's Club located in the historic CornerStone Building.

Everyone is welcome to attend (19 years and older) and filmmakers with accepted films in the festival will receive two free entry passes. Unfortunately, we are unable to pay for accomodations and/or travel costs at this time.

The 300 Seconds Short Film Festival is a celebration of super short films. We believe that a true storyteller can pull off a fantastic story, no matter how little time they have. We only accept entries that are between 60 and 300 seconds long!

The Alternative Film Festival is committed to bringing filmmakers of all levels - even beginners - a chance at taking home a festival award. AltFF accept films in all genres. We are giving out awards - all IMDb eligible - in multiple categories.

All official selections, finalists and award-winners will receive laurels.
All award-winners will receive certificates.
All attending filmmakers will receive a goody bag from our sponsors worth $100.
Winning filmmakers who are not in attendance will receive their prize money via PayPal.

Rules & Terms

-All films MUST have a genre and storyline and/or artistic merit

-All films must be related to the festival's theme: sexuality, eroticism, sex workers, fetish, lifestyle, pornography, sex activism, LGBT sexual issues, etc.

-All films must have signed model releases certifying that the actors in sexual and nude scenes on the film are aged 18 and over. We require these documents to be emailed to us upon acceptance of film.

-All films must be in English or have English sub-titles.

-We accept films in several categories:
-Feature Films - 30 minutes and over
-Short Films - 10 to 30 minutes
-Super Short Films - 1 to 10 minutes
-Smartphone Films - any length, filmed on mobile devices (iPhone, Android, GoPro, iPad, Tablet) only

-We also accept erotic screenplays in its own category.

-No limit on submissions or production date.

-All submissions must have Vimeo or FilmFreeway screeners. ONLINE SUBMISSIONS ONLY!

-Filmmakers retain the rights to their films.

-We do not require a world premiere but please let us know if that is the case with your film.

-Filmmakers are responsible for acquiring copyrights, licenses and releases for media used in their films.

-Filmmakers agree that we can show their film upon selection to the Reel Erotic Art Film Festival
