(Chicago — 9 July 2018) Reel Chicago is partnering with The 48 Film Project to create a behind-the-scenes compilation video that includes footage taken onset and on location by the participating filmmakers of the 48 Film Project Chicago.

We understand editors and filmmakers will be in crunch time from July 13-15, so submissions are not due until July 29. After receiving the submissions, we'll respond to each with a request to download so the footage can be edited into the final compilation.

All participating teams are encouraged to submit an 8- to 15-second video from the set of their shoot. Descriptions of the action taking place at that particular moment, titles of the films, and on-camera bloopers are encouraged.

The 8- to 15-seconds can be a continuous shot or an edited video.

PLEASE include the name of the team, the film, and/or the director with either the submission or through an email to dan@reelchicago.com.

Remember, the video will be edited together along with other behind the scenes looks into the other sets. Be as creative or simple as you like, and have fun!

All teams that follow the rules will be featured in the Reel Chicago / 48 Hour Film Project highlight video that will be included during the "Best Of" screening at the Music Box Theater on August 2.

Submit 8- to 15-seconds of behind-the-scenes action by July 25. The footage can be a continuous shot or an edited video. Descriptions of the action taking place at that particular moment, titles of the films, and on-camera bloopers are encouraged.

Common, editable formats are also preferred (MOV, mpeg, etc).

PLEASE include the name of the team, the film, and/or the director with either the submission or through an email to dan@reelchicago.com.
