Redneck Ballet
Redneck Ballet is a satirical song about the overt machismo of the hard rock genre and it’s audience. With the video we attempted to mirror that tone, making fun of the genre, but also ourselves as consumers of it and creators of it.

I have been a musician for a long time but my first love is film and visual storytelling. With the release of a new album I had a strong desire to put together a cinematic music video. Not having much in the way of resources I had to scrape to together enough equipment with a near zero budget to get this done.
This was shot entirely on an Iphone XR with an Ulanzi anamorphic lens. The original source is 4k 24fps video utilizing FilmicPro, and was then downsampled to 1080p 30fps for editing and release (my laptop couldn’t handle 4k editing). We did two days of shooting and then edited and added graphics using Davinci resolve over about two weeks.
