Christian Søgaard belongs to the generation of young filmmakers, who master several disciplines, such as photography, editing, and directing. Based in Oslo, Norway.
The multidisciplinary approach he has to filmmaking gives him an advantage in commercial filmmaking since he has 6 years as a creative in the ad industry but ultimately took the step out as a freelance to pursue a career as a film director.
He has taken a love for music videos and how sound, design, and images can influence a viewer's mind.
He has also worked in multiple genres in commercials, from humor ads to documentary corporate films.
He is currently in development with multiple short films and his first long-format project, FORGOTTEN (org. title: GLEMT).
Red Thread explores the everyday struggle many artists have. We are getting glimpses of the life of an artist trying to fin himself through his art, but at the same time, he is showing us that he already has. In many ways, his story can translate to everyone that feels misplaced.
